So after a harrowing trip to Buford, GA...I am the proud new owner of an awesome 2004 Maristar 230 VRS with the X-package.

The boat is in absolutely unbelievable condition since it was kept in a heated garage, wiped down after every use and seats treated with 303 every time it say daylight from what I can tell. The seats feel and look brand new. The owner kept meticulous logs of every tank of fuel, scheduled and unscheduled service.

BTW after a burned up a wheel bearing on my 1997 trailer in Vicksburg on my way to do the deal friday night, I was taken for $1100 by a towing service/repair shop/junk yard in Vicksburg, LA...I will never spend a dime in the crap town again...

Boat looks awesome!

A wheel bearing will ruin any day. Between the headache it brings, along with the high cost of fixing it on the side of the road! Everyone should learn from this and make sure their trailer is ready for summer! The only thing worse than a wheel bearing going out on the way to the lake is the boat won't start when you get there, in both cases it will ruin you day.

Yeah I am looking forward to it...On an equally happy note I can't say enough about the awesome selfless service I got from Watersports Central in Buford, GA. They held the boat with a small deposit despite offers for more money from other buyers, and came in on sunday to test drive and sell me the boat when I was delayed by my boat trailer in Vicksburg, MS

Sweet looking boat! One of my dream rides, I just don't like the look of the new bows. If you ever want to trade for a pristine Tristar Sport, let me know!

great looking boat. i've only had one dealing with the guys at watersports central. we looked at an x10 there a few years ago. even though we didn't buy the boat, the guys were great and spent lots of time showing us the boat and answering all our questions. congrats on your purchase.

Congrats!! We bought a "new to us" Maristar VRS 230 last year and we absolutely love it. Sold a 97 Prostar to get it, but the difference in room/storage between the two boats is huge. You should have a great summer coming. Sorry to hear about the trailor. That does throw a wet blanket over the trip I'm sure.

I bought my boat from the same dealership. Mike D is great to deal with and they will remember you every time you walk through the door. Congrats on the boat, it looks great!

Nice boat! Looks very well cared for. I had an '03 230VRs (same boat) and it was great.

Just a tip, watch those brake calipers. They had some issues during those years with sticking calipers that will cook your wheel bearings. I replaced mine with Kodiak calipers and new pads....no problems after that.

Cleaned with several wipings of mineral spirits, per my furniture making Great uncle that passed away just a few months ago
