Saturday I'm sitting watching some TV and our youngest daughter walks up and asks "Daddy can we go sit in the boat?" Mind you the boat is currently in our barn where I had just installed new speakers and done some work on the teak platform. So we run out to the barn just to hang out. I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them.
Taking it for a test ride.

When she was done "barefooting" and acting crazy I sat on the jump seat, she crawled in my arms and took a thirty minute nap. Life is good!

Got that request from my 6 y/o yesterday. Boat has been covered up since Sept last year.
Would have obliged and "exercised" the stereo a little, but he was covered in mud when he asked!

Like! Nice to see I'm not the only barefooting farmer (ok, former farmer) on this forum!

How old is your daughter, and when will she start barefooting? Mine is 9, wakeboards so far but I have not tried to get her footin' yet. Soon I hope.

That's awesome! Hopefully my little one will be as much or more into water sports as I am! He's 3 months old. Wife says we can't start taking him out with us until he's 6 months. I suppose that's reasonable, since that is the minimum age for babies to have sunscreen!

She's 9 and just loves all water sports. I'm hoping we have a great summer with some pics to go with it. She got her own wakeboard this Christmas and she's extremely excited about learning to barefoot.

Eh, if it's not too hot, just keep 'em covered up. Throw a light blanket over the baby bucket or make sure they're under the bimini, or both.
Had our youngest one out for a week straight when he was about 6 weeks old. Best time is when they're infants. They're not runnin all around the boat stealing and smashing your chips into the carpet or taking up your time on the end of the rope!
Worst part of that trip was we were partying with friends the whole time and the wife thought it would get him to sleep longer if we gave him a little oatmeal with his formula (first time). Plugged the little guy up and he didn't crap for 2 days!

Oh well, it's only Feb, you can wait a few more months...........................

Family time in the boat. Does not get better than that - even if the boat is sitting in the garage! :toast:

Great story, our daughter will be 4 in March and asks almost daily if we can go in the boat. I always feel extremely lucky and a little sad at the same time when a dad tells me his kids aren't interested in the boat or water.

Another sign our daughter was raised right. We were both in the house, but different rooms when the new fireboat when by. Just after I finished taking pictures (bad phone pics), she opened the door and came into the room to tell me about the "really cool big boat" that went by. It is an awsome boat.

Here is a link to the boat: http://www.marinelink.com/news/contract-boats-moose342330.aspx

Thanks for sharing. It's great when kids fall in love with the water and waterspouts hopefully it will keep them from getting into trouble somewhere down the road.

I found some other pictures from our day on the boat that I thought I would post. Sorry about the size, can someone re-size these for me.

I know the feeling. If I am going out to do something in or on the boat my kids want to go with me to (help) with what I am doing. I am glad that they have that opportunity. My 3 1/2 year old now knows what the sticker on the back of my truck says and whenever he sees another boat name he say "they don't have a Mastercraft daddy". Kids say the darndest things.

That is a classic right there. As we say around here "You can't hide class!":D:D:D
