I'm looking for a 2000-2005 205V. I actually prefer a true 205V over an X-Star or X-2, but would still be interested in an X-Star/X-2 205V as well. I have money in hand and ready to buy. I'm located in Georgia, but would travel for the right boat. Thanks!

Someone sell me their 205V! ;)

This is the exact boat I wish I could find. I just think they look so much better than the X-Star/X-2/X-1 205V's...

Exactly. I really like the classic look of the 205V's. I used to own a 2003 lime green X-2 and loved the boat, but didn't care for the flashy color or graphics. I'd still buy another one, but if I had the choice I would prefer the 205V.

It looks like a nice boat, but I'm trying to stay under $25k. Plus I really don't like the look of the X-1's and I especially don't like their towers. I just think the zeroflex tower was one of the best looking towers MC has ever made and I just really don't like the way all of the boat manufacturers have gone. A buddy of mine said it best... "All of the new boats look like a tattoo".

The funny thing is I'm only 28 years old, but still really prefer the classic look.

This was my 2003 X-2. It had 280 freshwater hrs on it and I only paid $10,000 for it. I put a little money in it to clean it up because it was a lift kept neglected boat and bought a trailer for it, but I had a guy offer me $25k cash on the spot for it and couldn't pass it up at the time so I sold it. I will say the green eventually grew on me and I really liked the boat though. I bought a 99 Super Air Nautique after the X-2 for $13.5k and really loved the wake on that boat, but it was ejected from the trailer following a super bad wreck so now I'm in the market for a new boat. lol

Yeah I'm amazed at how well these boats hold their value. I'm just having a hard time spending anymore than $25k on a boat like this after I spent $10k on a 2003 X-2 and $13.5k on a 99 Super Air Nautique 210. I know I've had pretty good luck finding some deals, but I can find plenty of Super Air's for under $25k so if I have to I'll just buy another one of those.

Wow, hope everyone was ok after that-
That crash looks serious. Boats can be replaced.
You might be looking for a while to find anotherone for 10k though-good luck

It sure was. We were very lucky. My wife was 5 months pregnant at the time. I was up late the night before and wanted to catch a quick nap on a 12hr ride we had that day so I let her drive. I got too confident in my diesel truck and figured she could keep it between the lines with the cruise control set at 75mph, but unfortunately she didn't know to turn the cruise control off when it started raining and after a semi-truck cut her off she started hydro-planing, slammed off the left guard rail, got sideways, jack-knifed, and went off the right side of the road, down an embankment, ejecting the boat from the trailer. I woke up when we started slamming into the left guard rail, but there wasn't much I could do from the passenger seat at that point.

We are definitely very thankful to have walked away from that and I hold myself 100% accountable for having too much confidence in my diesel truck and it was a learning experience I hope no one else ever has to experience first hand.

...but yes I do not expect to find another deal like either of those deals, but I'll be hard-pressed to spend over $25k for a 10+ year old boat in an economy like this.

Wow...I got a 2001 205v black and grey 330 HP. It would be to hard for me to part with it right now. Love the boat and agree with you on the classic look! I posted photos under the Prostar pics and boating vacation pics thread. Good luck Fly!!

That's a nice looking 205 in Dallas. Wondering if you guys thought that price tag of $27500 was high or just right......for a boat that only has 300+ hours, but also is 12 years old...thoughts?

Yeah I think it is definitely on the high side. I found another 2001 205V with 190hrs for $17,500, but it doesn't have perfectpass, has a basic stereo, and it's red gelcoat needs some wet sanding. Comes with a tandem axle trailer though.

I did talk to that guy in Dallas a few weeks ago because the boat was originally on ebay without any bites and he said he was firm at $27,500 and I told him good luck!

Ditch the sticker and you got a nice and clean 205V.

Or grab the '99 Super Air from Buxton!
