Long winter even though it isn't over - felt so good to be back on the water.

Not even close to spring here in Michigan. As I write this note it's 16 degrees.

Around 45F air water less but able to enjoy a couple of hours taking turns in the water = good medicine. Today my bones are saying I have some work to do before floating the course. Hope you guys get a weather break soon.

I'm not sure if Punksatony Phil saw his shadow or not but my instincts are saying that spring is here already in Texas.

I think I'll wait until the ice melts off of the lake first...

How on earth can the water be liquid in Montana??? My lake has a puddle about 50 ft across that is liquid, the rest is solid.

Open winter here and Flathead is a big lake usually has open water if you can find a way in. I have not put the plow on the p/u one time this winter - "Montanans for global warming" must have some real influence.

Dedication. Water level is still down for us. Looks like it will not be until mid March before I will feel comfortable putting my boat back in the water, provided they follow the rule.

I heard the frogs croaking in the pond down the street this week so Spring is on the way. It's amazing that they start "making babies" the 2nd or 3rd week in Feb every year no matter what the temperature is. Going to be in the mid 30s with a chance of slight snow this weekend. If I can just make it thru the month of March.

I like how your location is listed as "Northern Ontario", like southern Ontario would be more temperate or something! You could always pretend you're in Ontario, California!

You could try the Niagra River, it hardly ever freezes near the falls!
