Time for some levity around here.

Ok, we have all seen 'em.

But here are the two best I have seen on the interwebs:

I've seen an aluminum Bateau (flat boat) with a tower on the Amite River near Baton Rouge. Need my brother to snap a picture of it. Just imagine this with a tower on it.

there is a pic of a boat where someone used a ladder for the waketower

best part about some of the boats in this thread they are the most fun. I have a little 16' with outboard and if you hit something you just keep going.

It works like a hull extension that shapes the wake for surfing. The word on the street is it works pretty good. Will need to see it in action though...........

Yes, it has been tested by some of the best riders in the world an has been received extremely positively the hype is low unlike surf gate which IMO is useless

This is my buddies boat. He uses it to hit rails way up river where its to shallow to risk hitting bottom with a big boat.

Oh man. I know that guy. We bought a new lake place last year and his parents live on the lake. He and his kids/wife are huge into water sports but he mentioned when I took him surfing that he made a replacement swim platform that slides in and had a kicker motor on it for fishing on the St Croix. I thought he was joking so I laughed until he said he was serious. I didn't judge because he is a great guy. He is going to laugh when I tell him he was sniped on camera and posted in the redneck fishing thread. Ha ha

Our Cajun towboat was my brother's first boat, a Mint Green 1968 King Fisher Fiberglass Bass Boat with the original 40hp Johnson (Electric Shifting would fail at times). We'd ski and kneeboard behind it and swear we could pull the stern 2-3' offline when making hard cuts. You could also watch the bottom flex when hitting rougher water. Trying to find a picture of it still.

When I got that boat, I can remember going to the boat ramp and there was a guy with a brand new X10 (This was 2004). I asked him how much his boat was and he told us about $80 grand. I rememeber thinking wow, if there is anyways that I can own a boat like that someday I will have it made. Its funny what happens when you combine hard work, determination and time. I honestly didn't think I would ever own a boat that nice but I knew I wanted too.

We did have some of the best times on that boat. It was the first time many of my family and friends got to go out on a boat and try wakeboarding. The obsession only got worse with time.

I learned a ton on this boat though. How to ride and drive, install a tower, do fiberglass repairs on cracked hulls and so much more.

Also there was a thread about wheels falling off. Well this HAPPENNED to me on the busiest highway in Alberta when I was 30 minutes from home. I ended up pounding out the sheared off studs and replacing them on the side of the road. Not all that fun and a typical way to be welcomed to the world of boating.

It sure is. Right at the front if the boat. Interesting perspective isn't it. It cracked in some bigger waves and started leaking water. This repair held for the whole time I owned it.
