Altering Bimini to fit under my tower

I want to change the front Bimini poles so that I can raise and lower the Bimini without having to unscrew the front poles.

Right now the front crossbar will not fit under the speakers.

I am looking for either a pole in a pole system or maybe some sort of hing that I can install on the pole so that I can lower or break them when raising the bimini.

Any ideas?

What about something like this.

I know they are the support poles at the back, but maybe you could get some kind of coupler and cut the existing poles. You could then loosen adjustment screw and lower the bar just enough to get under the speakers.

Are the rear poles adjustable? If so, what about turning the top around?

I'd think you could just shorten each pole and adjust everything to your liking. All the hardware is easily adjustable and removable with a allen screw. Start cutting small pieces off until you are happy.


JerseyDave's 230 had a tower bimini that attached directly to the tower. Maybe you can rig something like this. I actually think this is OEM.

I need to do this. It would make it a lot easier to do a custom cargo rack then.
