Looking to buy a used X-25 or X-35 with fewer than 100 hours. Prefer the X-35 but will consider the X-25 if the price and specs are right. Will pay up to $65K.

I saw that -- but it has the 350hp motor; I wonder if that would be underpowered...

Most certainly won't be "underpowered", but I can guarantee you would appreciate having more power than the MCX.

There are a couple threads debating the 5.7 vs 6.0 vs 6.2 here. You want 35 over 25 for size?

Partly for size, but mostly want the X-35 because my wife wants the passenger seat that flips forward or back. She doesn't want to have to sit backwards all the time...

The needed legroom for the flipseat makes you loose lots of storage space in that area...

That will probably cost a lot more than the boat!

My wife was the same way.

We bought an X30 and she got used to in a couple of days. She now says it doesn't even bother her at all. She can sit sideways in the seat and see out the front with no issues.

How much more does a 35 cost over a 25?

My wife does not like sitting backwards either - she gets motion sickness. But necessary as spotter for water sports. I learned to just feed her lots of dramamine. I keep a supply of it on the boat. :D

Honestly, that flip seat isn't all it's cut out to be. Lose seting and storage. We originally looked at a 35, but the interior layout of it sucks compared to the 25 and the 45. :twocents:

25 and 35...wakeboard and surf. You don't hear a lot about the 35's.

The 25 has better surf and wakeboard wake IMO.

Is the 25 as good in the chop as the 35? Sometimes on Lake Powell we'll get into 3-4 foot whitecaps... I want to be sure our next boat can handle that. I've heard the 35 is great in the rough stuff and I understand that the 25's hull is based on the CSX 220, but I haven't seen anyone compare the 25 and 35 when it comes to rough water.

I can barely afford a new boat -- there's no way I'll be able to afford a new wife...

We had the 35 in poor conditions, 3ft caps, and I thought it was the worst MC we tested in rough water.

45 all the way. Best interior layout, IMO, of any MC to go with great versatility.
