View Full Version : Fitting X-star in garage

Does anyone know how long the 2000 X-Star is on the trailer with the swim platform off and the trailer toung swung to the side? My boat is in storage and I'm thinking of making my two door garage into one big door to store the boat at the house in the garage. Thanks!

I think that is a 205V hull. If it is then it is the same hull as my 2007 X1. Mine was 22' 4 ", but I didn't have a MasterCraft trailer. That may make a difference in where the hinge is on the tongue.

My 2005 X-2 with MC trailer fits in my 21' long garage, shoot maybe it's 22'? Let me go measure real quick.

I can fit my 209 in a 20x20 garage with the folding tongue. I have about 2 inches to play with (literally) with the rear corner touching and the tongue folded. Its a complete pita to get in but double layers of plastic sheeting can help you move it around. I would never ever consider this other than a winter storage solution

I have a '97 205 (same hull as 2000 x star) and it fits into my 20x20' garage without a swing-away trailer tongue. At first it was a real pain in the a** but with practice I can usually get it in under 5 minutes (unhooked, chocked, etc). I think you should be fine, even better with a swing away tongue. How does that tower fold down? I was looking at 2000 but the first gen tower didn't look like it folded down all that low.

I would have to take off the tower, it is about 7 1/2 ft tall when folded down.
