Is there anything worse than the "Much Colder" because I am sure that is what we will have up in Canada for the next 3-4 months :(

Well, after the season is before the season. Thought it would be the occasion to ask what are your plans for the 2013 season.

We will probably make it to visit a little lake in italy this year.

Greetings

Looks like I'm in the right spot :D Winterizing out here means you're wearing a wetsuit or drysuit :headbang:

Wow. I am all for "warmer" and I hope they are right about that, bc I am ready to get out on the water. The water level should be back up in Marchwhen it is "warmer". I don't know how all of you above the Mason Dixon Line can stand it, especially you Canadians.

Everyone starting to get their bodies in order for the 2013 season?

MSC (TxRiver, Kyle, Tex) jumped out and started the season for us on Jan 1.

Koodos to those doing p-therapy on injuries and surgeries. 8 more weeks and the folks in the southern states - "Florida - don't count ;) " will be running hopefully.

My calendar countdown is 57 days to my first outing. Hope we get some much needed rain. A good blizzard or 2 in the midwest would be good to get some water on the ground. Hopefully ongoing drought will cease and we'll all have good water.

What strength builders and flexibility exercises are y'all doing... couch curls don't count? ;)

Trying to kill the tgiving and xmas gut before I start aerobic again but doing another round of p90x just sticking to the non aerobic exercises. Amazing what an extra 20lbs will do to your knees and ankles. Strict bs diet that sucks. Kicked sodas, fried, and sweets to the curb. 5 meals a day and 1800 cal max

190-183.5 so far in the past 6 weeks. Not huge but I'm hitting a lb a week which should get me to my prime 175 by riding time.

No kidding? My back has felt 100x better in the past 2 weeks but my freaking knee's and ankles pop like crazy now.

Yipes so forget bulking up muscle as well?

Muscle buildup would offset that however as the back increases in strength and holds the spinal column better.

I have no medical training and just an engineer talking out my backside.

Unless of course shoulders arms legs were worked and core was not worked...then not so much right?

I get my medical training from staying at a Holiday Inn... ;)

I am going snowmobiling this weekend in Revelstoke BC. The snow is so deep its kinda like riding a seadoo, boat show next weekend in Calgary - thats about all we get up here in the Great White North. Cant even begin to think about warm weather.

So much for the much warmer picture in the first thread... I hope we are past the nastiness of this cold start to 2013 - people are reporting going out... you guys in warmer climates... I'm jealous of course...

May go out tomorrow - wasn't expecting to - but I hope all my chores get put to bed quick.

Finally after much practice and slowing down I am finally getting the "feel" for proper body position. Note that I saw only a glimpse of that since the proper position was using different muscles. Still have trouble crossing the wake this way.. still have 2 months to works on... Moomba wake a bit more bumpy than mine... ;)

mikeg205
09-23-2013, 12:38 PM
some improvement thru the wake... still need to do more homework... at least I feel confident enough to be thinking about it... finally!! Still breaking the middle but not as much.. Happy to see I am on edge thru the wake.. Running out of season quick...

Post up all your late season pics and vids.
