Well, first off I would suggest you find out what the prop is and make sure it will work well on your boat and for your activities.

It's just whatever the factory prop is, I was hoping someone on here would know

Being the owner of a 08' TT is the cost of a new prop an issue? Or are you thinking I just don't want to get ripped off and pay way to much? I would be more concern of what I would be paying for shipping to Australia.

Make sure it's the correct size, pitch, rotation, and blades. Different props will perform different. Just what cantRepeat said above.

The prices from OJ are all over the place depending on size. Deals are to be had as well if you are patient and shop around. Now is a good time with it being winter.

The size you have is stamped in the end of the prop hub. Get the size, post it here, and I'm sure several folks here will chime in with what's out there. :)

According to the owners manual
1:1 transmission is a 12.5x13 propeller
or a gear reduction transmission 1.5:1 is a 13.7x19.5 propeller

The props here are $1200 bucks. Guy i know with a Malibu bought one out of the US landed for 450 bucks. It was ACME prop. I'm just seeing if there is a big price difference from Australia to US,

This place out of Austin, Tx probably has the best prices around and will match or beat prices I recently bought a couple of Acme props from him. $400-$500 is probably what your looking at plus shipping. http://www.nettleprops.com/

This might be another topic but........ What's your person choice? ACME or OJ props

Demand also drives the price. 13.7 X 17.5 has little value when compared to a 14 x 14.25.

Any idea on the postage to Sydney Australia, I don't expect anyone to find out. Just of the top of your head.

I recently purchased an Acme from nettle props, shipped to melbourne
airfreight $105, then i got a $20 shipping discount so $85 prop $530 still alot cheaper than buying here

Was it an apples to apples kind of thing or did you go from a stock OJ to something different in the ACME?

My 06 came with an ACME and I changed to an OJ and got a ton of more hole shot from the OJ. But mine is and apples to oranges deal as I changed prop size.

How long did the air freight take from when you ordered it?

Pretty much apples to apples with some cider mixed in. 5 props, 2 oj, 2 acme, 1 federal.

I'm wondering if I'm going to get a new prop should I upgrade? Even bigger?

How do you use the boat?

blackTT

Slalom and jump,

EJ OJPROP

The 14.25 X 14 is a good jump prop while I would suggest the 13.7 X 15 for slalom. This is the set up Freddy Kruger uses on his 6.0 powered TT boat, a jump prop for him and a slalom prop for Karen.

I need to compromise cause I'm not going to be changing props every couple of sets,. I'm pretty happy with the prop that is on it now, I have no complaints but I thought there may be something better....

I think for what you are doing with the boat the 14.25 X 14 is the best option.

Power and grunt isn't an issue, the boat just pulls like freight train!

Where is the place/price to pick one up from?
