bjames- length makes all the difference in the world.

Really nice looking boat.

bjames,
The differences are length (2'1" shorter), width (4" narrower), and a no trash can.

In the city that is the home to the Wisconsin Badgers there is never too much red. That being said, I like the exterior but do find the interior a little too flashy for my taste. Love the classic shape without the picklefork. Pretty boat. How's the slalom wake, any crossover potential?

Here you go X-30 and X-10 side by side!

The X-10 has great crossover potential. Doesn't ski as well as the X-14v, but surfs much better and wakeboards a little better.

How is the ski wake compared to an X-15?

No solid comparison as of yet to the X-15, but based on how well the X-30 performed I would hang my hat on the X-10 skiing better than the 15.

what are the x-10's going for ($$$) vs the 30?

John E- I have a 2012 X-15 and I do not think it skis well at all. Granted I am coming from a 96 Prostar 190 which obviously had an amazing ski wake. I have yet to ride in/behind an X-10 but I think the ski wake would have to be better.

That does look really good... nice to see some on water reviews and such.... good competition for the x-2 for best seller I think

I've never been behind an X15. But my dealer here said (iirc) that the X15 has an amazing slalom wake... That he has a customer that uses it through the course. Doesn't sound like you agree?

The X-10 is about $4000 less than a X-30.

Coming from a 190 to a X-15 isn't a fair comparison. As a crossover boat goes, the 15 skied well for its size. I wouldn't want to run one through the course due to its size.

I feel that the X-10 will be the number one seller this year and surpass the X-25.

How does the X10 surf and wakeboard wake compare to the X25?

jason95gt
12-11-2012, 04:12 PM
The surf wake is very good and definitely a contender to the 25, but the wakeboard wake is not as good. Especially if you are a faster rider, over 23 mph. The surf wake on the 25 gets taller while the 10 is a little longer.

Love the boat. The color scheme is a bit much for me.

+1. But it think it would be perfect with a white gel interior, bottom and top/rail/gunnel. Maybe change the black to red.

GoneBoatN- I designed this boat personally. She is perfect in my image and her new owners when she sells. I realize the splashes of white you suggest would really bring an aire of dullness to what I agree is a very bold color scheme but that was kind of the point. Blue and white boring schemes do not come out of the mind of Matt Hofeldt. Rich, Bold, Colorful statement boats do.

Sorry - But that color scheme would never sell in Florida --- 8p

I think I brought it up first. Colors are popping and bold. I love the black and silverflake, I love the red and silverflake. I don't like the 3 mixed. Just my opinion, Beautiful boat, just not for me.

I love the combo. Similar to my 30 with the flake. I'm on the same page as the OP I like my boats to be kind of loud. I had an all white boat with red accents and that was just to boring/plain for me.

Why did the one post say it would never sell in Florida?

madcityskier

If they're trying to sell it in Wisconsin, what will sell in Florida seems irrelevant.

Likely a color scheme related to football rival colors.

only about $4K less than an X30? that surprises me a little. bummer. sweet boat. when will the specs make it up on the mc site? i know it's on the build-a-boat, but i'm talking dims, weight, etc.

Holy lick. I would've thought there would be a much bigger price difference than that.

Keep in mind that the X30 is (at least was last Feb) priced far below some of the others in the lineup. The difference between an X30 and X25 was substantial. At least in terms of msrp. I don't know if the difference was comparable in terms of final sales price. So it makes sense that there isn't much difference between the X30 and X10. Takes the same time and nearly the same material cost to build the two.

John, the X30 I was looking at had a price tag well over 100K. And no, I'm not refering to the MSRP. Just sayin.

The msrp price difference between a 30 and 25 is not substantial at all. It's $5k or less. I have seen many build sheets for 25's and 30's. The margin on the two is the same as well.

The surf wake on the X-10 is supposed to be just as good as the 30, just a smaller pocket. The great thing about these two boats is that the pocket is farther away from the platform than previous models.
