There's books online for design...does not have to be super elegant..just simple..and then you have to use keywords so people can find you... you have to get to know the search engines really well and watch what get's searched on... that's a science in itself.

http://www.1and1.com/ has hosting and they provide templates and that sort of thing. I've never used them, but they look to be decent. www.godaddy.com also has a website builder. That'd probably suit your needs to get started, and they're cheap.

DO NOT USE DANICA'S hosting company... she'll just drop you when she's done with you.

I heard an interview of Danica a year or two ago after a race. She is a, um- err.......well, I can't really say here but you know what I mean.

She pretty much talks/sounds like a sailor/dude/butch? Yeah, I am not impressed enough with her body that I would put up with her mouth. :D

I first thought they were interviewing a merchant marine. It just wouldn't be trade-off a guy could live with.

I launched a new website for our ski club this year and WIX is the provider:

http://www.metroplexskiclub.com/

Our show ski team also used Wix, Kevin prefers flash sites (I don't), but theirs looks good too:

http://www.metromavsshowskiteam.com/#!

It's very easy to use. What i did was created a photobucket for club pics, so not save them on the website. Migration from the old site with 11 years of data and files was a PAIN. So, trust me, keep it simple. lol

WIX isn't that hard to use. I have my students do websites to supplement the projects they do for my class. Here (http://marytramng.wix.com/kobe-earthquake#!historical-research/crdl) is an example website, done by a group of 9th graders. It may not be slick and polished, but it gets the job done. It's a free host service, so it's worth it to create an account and play around with it to see if you like it.

If 9th graders can do it.........who am I kidding?

Thanks for the info. I like that I could do an actual site as an experiment.
