View Full Version : Worked on the X25 today. Fluids, partial winterization

I did an oil service on the engine and v-drive, built a new fluid changing station, drained raw water from engine, and took some other pics today. 2012 X25, 5.7, 100 hours.
The cart:

Trans/v-drive tube:bad pic, has air hose fitting like the engine oil hose that I cut out of picture.

Then I drained the engine and heater.

Opened the exhaust manifolds (my own way):

..and used air to clear system:

I was able to remove the bolts while taking a picture so it is a pretty simple procedure, I think it is very easy with that tool I was using.

Drained the Trans cooler (my own way)

I also removed the air filter to clean and oil it. Pretty simple, loosen clamp and pull these out:

And now it's back in its heated garage. I opened up the ballast puppies to inspect impellers but that's about it. I also fogged it using the air intake method described in the ilmor manual
