Don't ask how-I lost my backseat to my 02 197. Any idea on the price. My dealer has new parts and service people and they have not been able to give me a quote yet?

Hey Tex, great to see your alive. Hope the new gig is treating you right...and that they are paying you well so you can replace the seat that I am guesing is at the bottom of Granburry?

yikes!
threadjack, lost 197 cupholder. do they cost more than an oilchange?
this one was not me, my kids thought it was fun to pull the bow cupholders out and splash water with them! one is at the bottom of my ski lake now :o I was out sloshing around with my feet to find it and my daugher whispers to her friend "he's mad at me"

Ric, check overtons if they're just the black plastic inserts. If not, call Rambo. I think your dealer made enough off that oil change to last them a while. Spread it around.

they are the removeable black ones and I will check those places. Thanks sorry for the threadjack as my dumb move must be wayyyy less costly/embarassing than Tex's seat.

new threadjack: Rodl, isn't that the 2004 seat? Those were recalled for cutting off the fuel supply to an indmar, causing a lean fuel/air mix during hard right turns.

I have heard: lost the keys, plug, hat, shirt, shorts, sandals, trailer pin, backup key, clips, harnesses, but I can honestly say I have NEVER heard of someone loosing the ENTIRE back seat

You might want to look into skeelers solution to a back seat

this is what i think happened.....
he took the back seat out to clean it and put in the swim deck. forgot it was back there and drove off. it probably stayed on for awhile but eventually fell off somewhere between his house and the lake.

LOL :uglyhamme That's great Ric!

I thought I lost my wakeboard rope and handle last Thursday. I decided I was going to fill up for the weekend before the Friday gas price increase. I normally put my ropes on the platform to dry. Well I got to the gas station and there was my ski rope and handle sitting on the platform. It was pretty white knuckled and pi$$ed-off, but other than that it appeared that it didn't move at all. Well the wakeboard rope was not there. It didn't hit me till I got back home that we did not wakeboard the last time out and the rope was safe and sound under the bow.

Tex, check the bow, it may be under there!
Better yet, how close are you to Ric? I bet he has a 197 seat in his garage.

ya, I've heard more hellacious rumors regarding the astrodome and it's surroundings, (some of them from cops so I believe them). people around here are all trying to help with one hand and ready themselves with the other. Personally, my concern is the predators that will no doubt approach our wives and kids in public claiming to be from NO, or collecting for victims when they aren't.

Tex, I told you to keep that new Hemi Durango under 100 when pulling the boat. Sound like you were on the way to the club?

377 and 820 are the roads. it was in the up position-i have towed dozens of times with it up and no problems until now(as my dear daddy said, "son, it only takes once". Of course he was putting gas in his truck with a cigerette in his hand when said that.

Ric - I have some extra black cupholders (oem). If you can get a size (diameter, height, etc...), I'll be more than happy to send you one.

Sorry - but no luck on the seat. I can't remember how I ended up with extra cupholders. When I picked up my X30, they were under the seat. Hopefully they will fit any model. Just let me know.

Barney, it looks like these are about 3-5/8" diameter (or a little over) where they fit into the deck and about 3-1/4" long from under the flange.
Flange diameter is about 4-1/4"

Hope you have one because I couldnt find them in overtons and was about to call rambo(per hollywood's instructions)
if you do, I will pm details
THANKS
Ric

After all this time, have you thought to look on the front porch?
I would think that the boat backseat would look better out there, rather than that old plaid couch and a corduory recliner you had been using!

Back seats are over rated - I haven't had one in a boat since 94. Ric upgrade to the stainless cupholders they are avalable first at your dealer if that doesn't suit you probably ski dim or overtons and all the other places we don't mention

I used to think that they were made to be pulled out and used as a couch on the dock(very comfortable). I changed my mind when I saw my wife put it into sundeck mode and lounging back catching some rays!
