So I have to ask - what's the level of difficulty in doing this?

I want to know how to get the carpet under the observer section, the bow section, and back seat area.

The top cap has the fiberglass going to the floor in these areas. So how do you get the carpet under the cap and pulled tight so it will look professionally done.

I don't want to remove the top cap from the bottom hull or remove the rub rail on our boats.

If this is for the PS200 in your profile..... man, that looks like it'll be an easy job, (wide open flooringhttp://deephousepage.com/smilies/biggthumpup.gif)

I've been looking at the Lancer Enterprises Inc. marine grade
http://www.amazon.com/Lancer-Enterprises-Marine-Carpet-MIDNIGHT/dp/B003WUIG42/ref=pd_sim_sbs_sg_6
8'6" X 25' $199.99 plus shipping

But, my local Lowes carries the exact same product

what year and model?

on my 91 PS 190, once unscrewed... you can raise the fiberglass frame (edge of observer's seat) enough to ge the carpet under it

the area I'm talking about can be seen in this thread

Yes, we're talking about my '88 ProStar 200. Looks like it should be pretty easy job. I'm thinking the worst part will be getting the original carpet out intact to use for a template.

Learjet - did carpeting and made some rigging to lift observer deck a bit here..

I want to do my carpet soon... the art up in the bow is going to be a real PITA...small section and alot of deck to prop up to slide carpet under to make tight.

I am hoping when the screws are taken out there will be enough play to slide the new carpet under..

Taking it out should be messy bud easy...

Examined my observers seat and it looks like I'm in luck as the back of the base overlaps with the deck and bolts together. Thanks for the recommendations on carpet, I'll look into them and get some samples.
