I just got an '07 PS 197TT and found that my blower isn't functional. After toggling the switch I do get the power confirmation LED but after a couple seconds, the breaker trips. Can anyone out there tell me where the blower is actually located? Thanks in advance for the guidance!

It should be on the starboard side under your motor - I believe or port side... but low in the motor...motor probably blown and overdrawing current.

Seems that issue may require a thread of its own!

Kweisner, please post pics of said 07 TT - they are a fan favourite around here.

With your collective help I located the blower (the one for the boat). Lucky me, the fan blades were just a bit jammed in the shroud-- once i broke the tension, it worked immediately and well! I will post a pic of the boat as soon as I can. Thanks all!

My earlier joke aside, I love your boat. The stars look is sweet and the mini-tower flows awesome with the lines. Hope you find your issue w/the blower.

Thank you all for the nice compliments and advise on the blower. This is my 1st boat that doesn't have sails so it's a brand new experience. But any day on the water is good no matter how you get there!

If it jammed once it will likely happen again. They are not that expensive to replace. http://www.iboats.com/Marine-Bilge-Blowers/dm/cart_id.899459835--session_id.845086448--view_id.257679.Biggest hassle will be to determine if you need a 3 inch or 4 inch. Most likely a 4 inch but a quick measurement will tell. A bilge blower is not something you want to be without - http://www.boatus.com/boattech/articles/bilge-blowers.asp. IMO better to replace now than a day ruined at the lake.

Oh yea, and Really Nice Boat!

Thanks for the compliment on the boat, as well as for the comment--I am 100% with you on the replacement!! As soon as it comes in the mail, it'll get replaced and I'll keep the old one around as the emergency spare. And fortunately it's clearly marked as 3"!
