I have a 1976 with 351w i cannot find the correct thermostat gasket. It looks like this gasket but only has 2 bolts in the upper housing.

I got some gasket material (cork) from the auto parts store and make my own. Or look here for actual gasket.....

Been known to make my own on occasion. Always try to keep some gasket material on hand.

Which Marine engine do you have? Since it's a 76 I would assume it would be Escort and not PCM. That could be the difference.

I take my upper housing flip it over use a ball pin hammer and tap out a gasket. Takes about 5 minutes and I have about 5 spares real easy.
