What filter are you using...and what oil?

Thanks, Greg

Shell Rotella T 15W-40 - NAPA 1069 or you can use a 1060 which is a little longer/larger filter.

If you like synthetics you can go to 5w40 some benefits to shear strength (fluid strength) better high temp performance if you happen to run a little hot for some reason.

But don't want to start an oil discussion.

15w40 - 5w40 will have almost the same viscosity characteristics at running temp and starting temp. Rotella 15w40 is great oil and a great price.

Some folks really like the Valvoline 20w50 Synthetic/Dino for extra protection - best for boats like mine - flat tappet 1995.

You can go a little nuts reading about oil. I add a bottle of Hy-per Lube - did a bunch of research - not just snake oil. http://www.hyperlube.com/c3/Zinc-Replacement-Additive-c7.html - just my opinion...picked up the hyper lube idea from 03geetee here.

What they said. Napa/WIx 1069 and whatever flavor of 15-40 diesel oil that is on sale.
