We've rented every year on the lake. Friends have a cabin but not on the lake. We are thinking of goin back to Shasta next year or trying Oroville? This year got a little crazy with 6 families. You have a place?

Since you speak of Shasta, I always wonder what a week at Trininty lake would be like. I talked with someone from my area and he says Trinity is great. Fewer people than Shasta so flat water for longer.

Looks good at Martin...been a while since I've been up there. It's hard for me to put my boat on the trailer for a trip up there when I can drop it in Gantt in less than 10 minutes. We are thinking of renting a house up there next summer to change things up a bit.

Love Lake Powell!! Boat in camping. Launched from Wahweap and camped at Oak Canyon just past Rainbow Bridge. 8.23 to 8.26. The CSX is perfect on this lake for the type of trip that we had. Gear moving, wakeboarding, sightseeing, and fishing! This is the only picture I have here at work. Will post more later. This is our second year of boat in camping at LP just phenomenal!!

@RyanD121, wished I lived as close to LP as you do. It's a 10 + hour drive from So Cal!!

it's brackish only in the backs of the canyons and at the north end of the lake where the Green and Colorado feed into the lake. Keep in mind this lake is 150 miles from the northern most point to the dam at Page so there's alot of surface area to work with.

Our friends have gone to Trinity, they said it is very nice, but another hour off I5. We drive 6hrs straight down I5 now (330 mi door/door) to get to Antlers from Oregon. Dont need to add another hour each way........

I've heard a lot about trinity as well. I've heard the water is cooler but this might be a myth. My son has been there and he says it's a beautiful lake. Did not notice water temp. It's a bit further t travel but might be worth it.

I have been skiing Powell since 1972. It is a great place to slalom. It doesn't compare to a small private lake but it can be incredible. It is the total disrespect from inland surfers and tubers that destroy some of the most beautiful glass waters on the planet.

Annual trip to Banks Lake / Steamboat Rock State Park in Eastern Washington. Amazing campground with wonderful sandy beaches and great anchorage for the boat. Plenty of glass water for making turns till your arms fall off.

The 360 is my Brother-in-laws. He camps a little different than most.

Is that your RV? If it is, how do you like it? I have been thinking about possibly picking one up and I'm doing a little research on them.

No, the Itasca is my folks. They absolutely love it. One of the most beautiful interiors I have seen in a 40' Class A. Very comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend.

We are next door in the '07 Adventurer 97FDS TC. We also love very much and gives us the option of towing the boat, motorcycles and using in winter for ski trips.

Toledo Bend. LA side last week. did not do my research. never ever go to that place thinking you are going to do watersports. rough water all the time. an absolute forest of a lake. very confined areas for watersports. and one joker with with I/O bigblock thinking he owend the cove of the resort we stayed at. Luckily my buddy had brought his bass boat and we caught some nice fish when it became obvious that wakeboarding or skiing was not going to be our main activities.

That is Arrowrock. Its about a 45 min drive to the water from my house or office. This was 4th of July weekend and not too many people except the fun bunch of friends that came with us. Its a really rough dirt road for a few miles so it keeps a lot of people away. Its a big beach.
