Just as the title said. I usually rent a covered storage space for the winter months for my maristar, and this year I decided to get pricing for shrink wrap. It seems to be about half the price for the offseason to shrink wrap the boat. Vs. paying monthly on the storage. What has your experience been with shrink wrapping the boat? Pro's/Con's

I have heard they dont breathe very well, so you better have a very dry boat. Plus you have to commit to leaving the boat covered all off season. Dont even think about doing any projects or working on the boat all winter.

For a lot of people this is a non issue.

I tinkered with the same idea last year and started a thread....there's some useful information to use...

I'm going with covered storage. We get it here in TN for $550.00 for six months. I rent one for the whole year but you can rent it by six months it's a 14X32 space. I've never shrink wrapped one but leaving outside seems to be harder on any boat I've ever seen. If I didn't have another option I would do it but it would be last resort.

Last winter I shrink wrapped. Worked very well here in Colorado, but we are very dry most of the time. Only downside is that the boat it off limits once the shrink wrap goes on. It did feel a little like unwrapping a present in the spring!

The installer that quoted did indicate the pricing includes vent's. Thanks for the opinions.
