Hi,

I was doing some slalom when I noticed the bilge pump running for longer then usual. The bilge was full of water and it was coming from the water circuit....a steel band (the thing that tighten the hose on the part) broke. The water was going in the boat instead out !!!

I manage to bring back the boat at the dock with no bad luck.

When I checked the oil in the transmission, the oil in the transmission was kind of milky....beige not golden....so is that water in the transmission ? Is that bad. ?

I will winterize the boat in 3-4 weeks, can i let the situation like this...put another 10 hours on the boat and fix it the winter or should i change that oil asap and how do i do that ?

The boat did run well after fixing thepart but the oil is still milky.

The motor oil was normal...golden. I did change last month.

I have a Prostar 205V 2000 with 720 hours....i love it !

Thanks !

You need to get that water contaminated trans fluid out A.S.A.P. You will need to refill, run at idle for a couple minutes, then remove and refill a couple times. I wouldn't drive the boat until it was taken care of.
