I know there has been many threads out there about the benefits of transom tie down straps and enough banter back and forth to fill many forums but that is not what I need help with.

I have a 2001 PS209 that has the transom tie down loops/lifting rings above the platform. I have seen in later years that MC put another of loops next to or in the platform bracket which can be viewed in the post by Diesel back in 2007

Does anyone know the specs/dimensions of these additional loops. I would like to install these loops on my boat so I do not have to use the gunnel strap method or thread the strap between the platform and hull and I don't trust my farmer rigged system which is an eye bolt to replace one of the platform bracket bolts.

looks like you should just be able to measure the distance on center of the two holes you want to use and head to the hardware store to get some u-bolts

We've considered adding these to our too. The factory strap setup leaves much to be desired. Winter project perhaps.

would d-rings works? or would two screws going into fiberglass be less than adequate?

I do not know the size but my 06 X30 has them. I'm sure any MC dealer could set you up with them.

Yes I can measure the center to center but I am more looking for the Diameter and Length so I get the MC engineered version rather than my backwoods reverse engineered version. I would go to the dealer but they are too busy selling Bayliners and Cobalts to care about me.

If some one could put a tape measure on theirs I would really appreciate it. Might even hook a guy up with good deal on Masterline equipment.
