So I have demoing boats the past month. Planning on an upgrade here most likely over the winter, but possibly as soon as fall. I have been on 4 other mfg's and 3 other models from MC. It's been busy. Dropped a 2013 Moomba LSV, Tige Z1,Tige R20, Axis A22, CC 210. Yea I know crazy list, but hey gotta give em all their fair shake Ya never know.

No matter what boat I was in I sat back in my 2000 X Star and all I could think was this is how a wakeboat should feel. The way it drives, the way the drivers console is, the view out the windshield, the throttle armrest, the handling weighted or unweighted, and most of all the wake.

Bring it back with a new top deck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

X 1 billion! I bet the new CEO brings it back at some point, might be a totally different hull, but mark my words...

You should drive and ride behind a VTX. Just remember to charge the wake hard!

Hey....all I know is I went out today on my 01' 205 v with friends and family and had a ?itchin time. It feels good to own a boat that will be if not allready a classic! Sons girlfriend got up on her second pull today. Never skatebourded or snowboarded. Good day and goin for another tomorrow. Very happy and satisfied 205v owner!!

I'm close to finalizing the purchase of an 05 X2. Same hull as the 205/205v/original X star/and 06 - 11 X1 -- one of MC's greatest hulls of all time. Wakeboard, ski, and with the right ballast, surf. Can't beat that! Some riders claim that it still has the best wakeboarding wake in the MC lineup.

X10 is its successor. X1 hull will probably be sold to a boat manufacture out of country

I actually ride one occasionally. Neighbor on the otherside of the lake has one. I love the boat itself. It's huge and roomy. Especially for 20ftr. Rides great and surfs good. Bu's wakes just are not mh cup of tea. As you mentioned it just seems like u have to rip into to it every hit to get that snap because the wakes are so smooth and the transitions so mellow. You don't even feel it sometimes and the next thing you know your airborne. Just a weird feel for me.

TTU,

Long pm inbound

Send me a PM about new LSV, too. Currently have a 2007 LSV in inventory and very impressed what it can do for a $35k boat!

Pretty much my thoughts too. We ski and surf more than board these days so it works well for us. I have great luck with the wake and I like the fact that it has softer landings (I find myself landing in the trough of the wake behind our 05 X-2 sometimes and that's a killer on my old ((2 ACL's)) knees). My brother would probably tend to agree with you. The wake and pop behind X-1 hull is quite amazing! What line length are you riding?

I doubt that.

I love my 2000 X-Star. Even though I have only had it for 2 months and I really can't say much about other boats the only others I have driven/ridden behind are 99' Air Nautique and a 90' Supra Conbrio (my first inboard). And I must say the wake on both the CC and the Supra cannot even come close to touching the wake of my X-Star. The only downfall I have seen with this hull is unless the bow is weighted you get alot of "bow hop" or "porpoising" at 30MPH and up. But I can deal with that especially since my X-Star came with a hidden bow sack. :)

Of your list I have been on a new Moomba LSV and Axis A-22 in the last month or so. I personally liked the AXIS more than the Moomba. I was impressed with the fit and finish of the AXIS and the guys that rode them both preferred the AXIS wake. I wish I had your problem of already having a great wake boat and now looking for an upgrade. I will be looking for a better wake/room for family option this coming winter/spring moving up from my 190.

Lynrd, what lake are you on? If you would like to try the 205 hull (I have an 02 star) you're welcome to ride behind mine on Lake Tuscaloosa. We usually run 1,800 to 2,000 lbs with 4 to 6 people.

Don't bring it back. Like an old Panhead Harley - not depreciating because people want them and there are fewer and fewer around as time goes by.

I have a 2000 X-Star as well that I bought new 12 years ago! Awesome boat. I used to mostly wakeboard and barefoot, now I mostly ski the course. It has a great wake for everything. I've skiied behind many DD ski boats (Response, Nautique, etc.) and believe it or not my personal best thru the course is still behind my boat. It's really not a bad ski wake @ 34 mph with just two in the boat. And then the wakeboard wake is awesome without having to add a couple tons of ballast.

I don't see them bringing back the 205 hull. What does it do better than the new X10?

Might ski better.

But not enough to justify continuing production. 14V fits that bill.

True, I don't see it coming back. My guess is the X-10 is much like the X-30 which is generations ahead of the X-1. Just can't see them going backwards. Who knows, maybe the new CEO will mix it up?

76 thank you for the offer if we make it up that way I will definitely take you up on that or might even make a special trip before I start getting ready to upgrade. I live in Troy and we mostly boat at Martin, Tholocco, and Gantt (Gantt more now since school is back in).
