Since swatguy posted that thread on a centurion with a custom swim platform that can raise up to clear the wake for surfing, well it started growing on me !!

I have a 08' X2, so yes I know this is not the perfect surf boat in the MC lineup, we'r sacking it quite well but that damn platform is cutting the wake like crazy and it seems i can't get a really clear lip...I don't want a smaller platform, I believe some guys just took some lenco or benett tab and installed it upside down to raise the platform when needed, seems right ?

Any advice ? Anybody tried this ?

For surfing I'd be adding trim tabs for a home made Bu Surf Gate ...

That's pretty cool but did he seriously drill into his gelcoat just to mount those 2x4's and hinges?? Dang!

Committed to surfing!! It definitely makes a difference but I'd never do it!

Well I was thinking of those surf tabs too...pretty easy to mount trim tabs sideways...But will have the same cutting problem from the platform ?!

I run lots of nose weight when surfing to keep the platform from dragging and cutting into the wake

1000lbs. Less might work, but I usually just leave it full when we are done wakeboarding. Not sure if that would work for you on the pickle fork hull, but it would be worth a shot before you go to the trouble of installing actuators.

Well I fill stock KGB + integrated bow sacs (300lbs I guess), sometimes one adult in the bow...I didn't fill it much more cuz i fear to take some roller that could wash over the bow...

How much weight do you run ?

Just throw a couple of more people in the bow next time and see if you can get hte platform to stop cutting into the wake. I run 750 in the back on the surf side, kgb full, and 1000lbs in the bow
