I'm getting ready to sell a 07 Land Rover Sport SC, blk/blk, 77K miles, for $33,500.00. It has 2 sets of wheels, 19 inch chrome 15 spoke and original 20 inch V spoke, both with tires.

Anyway, 2 marketing companies have contacted me, Auto Marketing System offers referrals for $150, no refunds or $250 with a refund. The other company wants $500. I've never heard of them, does anyone have any experience with this type of company?

I wouldn't pay someone else to do the work for me personally. Between craigslist and autotrader it will sell if you're not pricing it out of the market. Did those companies contact you via craigslist? I'd be weary, as scams are very present.

Very valid point.

I never bite on any offer that costs me money and I didn't initiate the contact.
Smells fishy at best.

Being in the auto business I would steer clear of those types of companies, if your in a bind carmax will cut you a check almost immediately and pay you a fair market price.
