I,m looking for a new prop and the best possible wake . What is the best choice for a 2003 PS 197 powerslot ?

I believe that's 4 blade is better for slalom. Gives much soft wake.
And a nice agressive 3 blade prop is best for jump, increased power and a great pull.
That's on my 08 tt, and also if you can be bothered changing props. Generally just run my 4 blade

I always thought it was the opposite.....

3 blade created less turbulance and thus a better/softer ski wake and was more prone to Waterskiing
4 blade created a harder bump and was more prone to wakeboarding

Is my thinking wrong or just too general to cover all boats??!?

Hey Eric, our 2005 PS 197TT OEM prop was 13.7 x 15...is the 13.7 x 17.5 a newer upgrade? What are the performance differences? tks, mac

The gear ratio changed from 1.5:1 to 1.26:1, so the pitch went down to 15, now run 13 X 14.5.

I changed my previous and present powerslot from 3 blade to 4 blade. I'm not a slalom junkie so I really saw no difference in the wake. I do know that I got a quicker and smoother hole shot with no loss on top end. Speed is also easier to adjust with just a touch of the throttle.

Hi Eric,
I own a 2003 PTT, RTP, power slot 1.51:1 with the original OJ 14 x 20 4 blade SS prop. What performance benefits would there be from your suggested 13.7 X 17.5 LC Splined XMP 4-blade? I there is a substantial difference, I may have to PM you about getting one to Australia.
