My '03 X-30 only has one bilge pump and I bought a second one to add near the center drain plug. The current pump (Rule 25s) runs off a rocker switch with on/off/auto.

Can I run the second pump (also Rule 25s) off the same rocker switch (preferred) or do I need a second switch? Any advise on how to wire it?

Thanks in advance.

1 blige pump must have been an 03 thing. I only had one in my x2 and added a second one over the winter. I had a spare 3 position switch to the left of the steering wheel on the dash, so I just used that for the new bilge pump. If I rememeber correctly, there are 3 wires out of the blige pump. One wire for always on, one for auto, and the other one is ground.

Thanks JRW.

Follow up question. For those of you with 2 bilge pumps from the factory, are they on one switch or separate?

On my 2008 they are on a single switch.

Disregard my last post. I just checked and mine has two also. They're always set on auto so I've never really paid attention to them.

Sounds like two pumps two switches is the preferred way to go.
