Just curious if anyone had any pics or vid of the wake on a 205 slammed.. Curious how good you can get it...

I found some pictures of my 02 X Star (205 V drive). I'm not sure if you wanted DD or V drive. These are full stock ballast, fly high V drive sacs in the back, IBS in front, and 2 women in the boat. It's not completely weighted down, but I've had it loaded up more, and you don't get a lot more wake.

A buddy of mine riding my 2001 X-Star, after the winter ballast upgrade.

750's in each rear locker, center KGB, 600 sac in bow, +/-300 lbs of lead in bow, and about 50lbs in cabin we move to balance.

I found a double up video with the same ballast setup. I think there were about 5 people in the boat for it. Also, in the pictures above, I'm 6'1" (2nd pic), and my buddy is 6'3" (1st pic).

I think he could have landed it if he hadn't bailed.

Those are pretty impressive! I was curious to see if anyone has any pics of a dd slammed. You hear folks say that it can have a really good wake, but not to much documentation....

It's the same hull, the engine's just in a different location. You can get the same wake, with roughly the same amount of ballast, you just need to distribute it differently in the boat. With the DD, you'll just have to live with a lot of ballast bags laying around in the boat. You did say slammed out, so I'm assuming you're ok with that.

right... with every Vdrive weve ever rode behind, we still sac it out like crazy, so not really anything surprising there.

2000 PS205. 900 lb. in the rear, 700 lb. on the surf side, and 350 lb. in the ski locker.
