2004 X Star Ballast Pumps

Can anyone tell me where the ballast pumps are located on a 2004 X Star. Also are these bi-directional pumps or are there separate fill/empty pumps on each tank?

Bi directional. Behind the carpeted panel in the engine compartment (two stainless wood-type screws).

Thanks. Any suggestions about yellow, green or black impellers for the ballast pumps?
