It was nice to meet up with Jay and mayo93prostar (Todd) this past weekend on Lake Anna.
Overcast and rainy saturday so it was hard (ok impossible) to get these metalflake boats to sparkle in the pics, but still fun. How often do you see 3 boats like these together in one place?

It was good to meet up with Dave and Jay. Our families were the real troopers dealing with the elements. The water was nice and warm though. We also saw a 35th anniversary edition boat on the lake pulling two kids on kneeboards. Curious who that was. It was raining or misting most of the day. My boat was soaked after driving home Saturday afternoon in some pretty heavy rain.
A little more information on the boats:
JerseyDave, silver 25th anniversary edition, Corvette engine, 1:1 transmission, tandem axle painted trailer
Mayo93prostar, blue on white stars and stripes, 285 HP Ford 351 engine, powerslot transmission, single axle galvanized trailer with disc brakes
Jay, red on gray stars and stripes (very rare), ? engine, ? transmission, tandem axle painted trailer
I will get some of my pics up soon.

Looks like a great time! I am jealous I didn't have my boat in WV with me, I would have traveled to Anna to meet up!

One technical idea....The RED/GRAy 190...bimini is backwards!!

mayo93prostar
07-25-2012, 07:29 AM
Jim, the red/gray boat is Jays but I was looking at the bimini while at the lake and noted that the label was towards the rear of the boat and I though that is the way it is supposed to be. Should the label on the sunbrella fabric be towards the front? I ask because I have similar bimini and I have my label towards the rear.

also, the red/gray boat (Jay) and the silver (JerseyDave) each have the safe-T-top for their boat but do not use them regularly. I do not have a safe-t-top for mine (blue).

Todd, Dave, I am sorry we didn't get to stay longer. The kids played a little while but got tired as the rain set in then cold as we were turning around. Anyone with kids knows where that combination leads.

My 93 is a red on grey S&S with the 285HP 351HO & 1:1 and sits on a tandem axle painted trailer with drum surge brakes. How did you get discs?

Jay,
I upgraded from drum to disc a few years ago when I purchased the boat because the drum brakes were shot from rust from dunking in the brackish water around here. I too need to put some more pics up. Hope to meet up with you guys and others in the area again in the future.

I am curious how you did the conversion. Is that a kit or did you just find the rotors & calipers that fit and fab the hardware? That is really cool - I never even thought to do that; is it still the mechanical surge braking system or other master cyl that you had to install / electric? Good upgrade for sure!

Here are 10 shots from my boat's perspective since I back up and maneuver around a dock like a school girl compared to Todd and Dave who can both seemingly slide to a complete stop on a dime without lifting a hand or bow line.

What people can't see here (and the guys are gracious enough not to say it) is Todd giving me a lesson in maneuvering in tight spots and Dave just trying to stay close but the hell away from me at the same time!

Thanks guys.

Here are some pics of the interior, T-top, and one of the doghouse on the red boat. You can really see the grey in some of them.
