Need someone with a 197 single axle trailer to help me out. I'm signing on an apartment tmw and I need to know if my trailer will fit. I need the width of the fenders, outside to outside and the width of the guide posts. I know my post stick out further, if need be I can make those removable.

Thanks
Taylor

Taylor, measured my 2005 PS197 single axle trailer (not sure they are identical?):

1. 98.5", fenders, outside to outside
2. 101", guideposts, outside to outside measured at the gunwale
3. 100.5", guideposts, outside to outside, measured at the top of the poles

If you need any other measurements, let me know...the boat is the garage, mac

I have a 9' door on my garage and my 2004 197 goes through with about 6 inches to spare. The challenge is backing it in and splitting the "extra" space to keep both fenders clear.

Is that with the guide post or removed?

Does anyone know the length with the platform removed and tongue folded? My next option is a storage unit.

I can check length tonight. Mine is a 2003 197 with a single axle trailer. I too have a 9' garage door, and it is tight getting it through. With regard to the guide poles, I keep mine snug, but not super tight. When going through the door opening, I push them both toward the boat so they are not wider than the trailer fender.

Just a guess, but I would think the length with the tongue folded and deck off/down is around 21 to 22 feet.

I measured a minimum of 20'8" from front of trailer (tongue swung to the side) to rear of boat (excluding deck).

Thanks for getting back to me. That confirms I can't get a 10x20 storage unit. Thankfully I found a unt close by that offers 24 hour access, gated, and has a 10x25 for the same price. A big advantage is they have plenty of parking lot. Most I've seen have about a 20 drive way infront of the unit with another unit accros from it. That can't for added difficulty backing it in.

Thanks For the info.
