I've had the opportunity to travel around the world and see many countries ... which always gives me the ability to reflect on our great country. Even in the midst of the horrific CO shooting, the political debates, economic situation, etc i get to see what a terrific country we have and how fortunate we are ... thank God for our Armed Forces that continue to give us that liberty!

On Friday i had an early morning flight out of NY city but decided to change it and go see the 9/11 Memorial ... what a moving experience that was ... I encourage everyone to do the same, regardless of whether or not you are a US Citizen

Unfortunately it was pouring down rain ... so the pictures were not great but here are some

God bless the 2977 victims ... from the WTC, Flights 11, 93, 77 & 175, the Pentagon and the Fire Department, Police Department and Port Authority ...

The two Pools are incredible ... each standing in the footprints of the WTC towers ... 30' waterfalls that then go into the center "void" ... surrounding the two pools are the 2977 names ... very surreal

The survivor tree ... this tree survived the 9/11 attack, was nursed back to health and then recently replanted the WTC Memorial

and lastly ... just outside the Memorial is a bookstore ... with a bike designed, built and donated by Paul Jr ... the last picture means everything .... "NEVER FORGET"

2rlake, Thanks for posting the pics. I's wonderful to see what they have done with the site. I lost a couple close friends that day.
