Spent the afternoon on Chestermere Lake and late in the day along came a new XStar. What an impressive looking beast! It was MMS boat and they were out with some customers. I didn't see anyone wake boarding behind it but I did watch a guy surf. I gotta tell you it produced a decent looking surf wake. Lots have said you can't surf behind it but it looked ok to me.

The boat looked good, it was white with some black and the logos were orange. I snapped a couple pictures but none really worth posting as it was quick iPhone pictures and the sun was behind the 'star.

Might have to go into MMS to have a better look t it in the showroom.

MMS had it in Saskatoon before it went out there, I was hoping to go out with the guys and check it out but I was out of town when they went out. It is a very sharp looking boat, that is for sure.

Hey all,

In our demo day vid you can catch a couple shots of the new stars (tow boats for the recent PWT) along with a few of the pros on board.

http://vimeo.com/45581964

It's also true, you can surf behind it... they were trying it out prior to the comp when the venue was getting set up for the Lake Tye stop on the PWT.

Good looking boat - it throws a beast of a wake for boarding!

When I drove by yesterday around 7:00 it was 29 deg and I couldn't believe how few boats were out. Lake was pretty calm too. I had a huge list of yard work to do but I was tempted to say **** it, and grab the boat instead. (I didn't).

You should post the new star picks anyways Brian!!! Doesn't matter how bad they are.

It was awesome on the lake last night!! You should have said **** the yard work!

If I can figure how to get the pictures from my iPhone to the iPad and then post I will.

I was fixing to answer your own question but then realized those are Canadian Temps.

Why dont you guys just swtich to US measurments and make it easy on the entire continent? :D

Celcius is so weird... haha.

29 sounds horrible, until you realize its actually about 84 on the F scale.

0-100 is a way easier indicator of how cold or warm something is. 0 = really F-ing cold, 100 = really F-ing hot. :uglyhamme

Having lived in Canada as an American I always wondered why Canadians laughed at the idea of converting back to the english system but still talk about their own weight in pounds.... (I guess I should have posted this in trickskier thread but whatever)

How did this thread become bashing Canadians on the metric system...... Even though the US is the world minority with their Imperial system. Just saying......

We Canadians are caught in the middle. On one hand there are the accepted measurements that the entire earth uses; scientists, schools, etc. This is what we are taught in school and is basically the international accepted methods of measurements.

On the other hand we have the US and their imperial measurements. Used by basically no other countries and rarely used by the scientific community. Yet we Canadians still use feet to measure things and even the F scale for temp. It's funny how we always try to be like our big cousins down south. But bashing the metric scale is kinda silly, it's accepted by the entire world other then the US public. I'm not saying that makes it right but it certainly doesn't make it wrong lol.

Now where are the pics of the star? I have to miss an opportunity to ride behind it in a demo this weekend do I can go to a family golf weekend (insert graphic of guy throwing up from boredom). I would have loves to have posted up a review!

I've always thought this was strange as well. We also talk about our height in feet.

I guess when you are used to doing something a certain way, it just makes sense, even if it doesn't.

Or in Celcius..., 0 = water becomes a solid, 100 = water becomes a gas. You have to admit that makes some sense too.

As an engineer, I have to say that the metric system is much easier than imperial to work with. What sucks for me is I work for an Italian company, and all the prints I deal with are mixed up between imperial and metric, so the conversions are the PIMA. I also like the fact that kilograms do not change like pounds do depending on where you are in the Earth. Mass makes much more sense than weight.

I won't bash Canadians. They must be doing something right as the average Canadian is $40,000 richer than the average American.

A good indicator that the average American is unemployed

Here are some pictures and stole from facebook. Buckeye Marine (Large Canadian Mastercraft dealer in Muskoka/Kawartha's) had a new x-star pulling a local roots series wakeboarding event on the weekend.

In my opinion the boat looks really good. I'll have to see it in person soon... just been such a busy summer so far.

They had the black one with the orange interior up at wakefest on center hill in tennessee this weekend. It looks really good in person. I got in it Saturday night when they had it at the dock. They were pulling it with a black international cxt with orange mastercraft graphics on the side of the truck to match the xstar.
