View Full Version : Water in my seats - (1994 - PS 205)

Last weekend I got caught in a down pour (4 inches of rain in an hour) no cover:mad:. When I got my boat back to my garage and was removing all the seats to let her dry out, I noticed that the observers cushion had water in the bottom, you could see it through the bottom plastic. I was thinking of drilling some 1/4 holes to create drain holes.

Has anyone ever had this issue, water in the seats? How do you dry your boat out?

My old 205 used to have some water in the bow seats from being stored outdoors with a cover that hadn't been treated in years by the dealer who sold it to me. I always tipped my bow cushions on their sides hoping they would drain. Eventually, they did. I would remove the bow seat base and put it on its side to see if it drains. No reason to have it drain into the under bow storage. That's just going to create some interesting smells over time.
