Just did this 2 weeks ago. I use a hand vacuum pump and it gets 99% of it out.

I have a JABSCO hand pump and works well removing oil from the tranny....

I haven't tried this - but I use a commercial vacuum pump & refrigerant tank for maximum vacuum draining the engine oil out the drain hose in less than a minute.

I might try to access the oil trany hoses removed - apply vacuum to one or the other.
Not tested yet - but poly hose from vacuum tank can also be inserted in fill port.

Local marine section of any major store, little manual hand pump that is sold along side lower unit oil, works great, simple, and gets 90% of it out for $5.

Plews suction gun has worked fine for me. Cheap too.
