What do you think?
Has anyone surfed both yet?

I can't be 100% sure but my bet is that the X30 will surf better. The 'star isn't much of a surf machine.

Zane put the X-30 surf wake through its paces here: http://youtu.be/VYeIFrblcJg. Stock ballasts + 400lbs. I have a 30 and can confirm it has a great surf wake.

OK. So we all know that the 30 and 25 are the surf boats to have from Mastercraft. When are they going to get a pro on board to showcase them? Lets face it, Zane aint doing the waves any justice! lol

Ha! Maybe Zane is all they could find to surf in a wet suit before Christmas. :D

There is a video of the Star surfing and I would go with the 25 or 30 before the Star. If you want a better wakeboarding wake than the 30 has, go with the 25!

Definitely the 30 over the star- the 30 was designed to be a premier surf boat.

the world champion surfer is on the 35, I wonder if he will be switching to the new X30?

I know the 25 is awesome for surfing. To date I haven't seen a 30 properly setup with ballast and I'm not sure it will be any better with the deep V hull on the 25. My vote would be to add the 25 to your original question and pick that as the winner :)

Thanks for all your input.

Sounds like I should be thinking about a 25 or 30.

Good Times!

That's my question. Gonna order a 13 from dealer in fall and can't decide whether to get the 25 or 30. My buddy brojoe just his 25 this season so I want to compare with the demo 30 the dealer has. Stay tuned...

I have been looking at the X30 as well and one of my friends just had one out this past weekend and said the 30 has a sickest surf wake hands down and would buy the 30 over over the 25 any day.... And did! I will have one out on Friday to test the surf wake myself. I will let you all know my 2 cents worth as soon as I can. I will take pics....

There are a few of us that are eagerly awaiting your review. You taking additional ballast with you?

Not sure yet if I will have time to set up the Fly High Sacks..... I will see waht they have at the shop, I dont have any to take...... Super stoked though.... Really the X30 is the only option for us, we have a 2004 X2 now and of course is an awesome wakeboard boat, but not a great surf boats. The XStar is in the $125k range a bit too much for me... So the X30 is perfect...
