I have a 2006 X9 direct drive. The last few outings, including this am, the transmission will slip on the first pull. It doesnt on any pull after that. I checked the fluid level and it is good. Any thoughts or ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the filter.I think it's some kind of permanent screen mesh...
But pretty sure you're running low oil level.
Level must be checked warmed right after shutting the engine so the oil doesn't have time to flow back to the tranny from the hoses and cooler.
I hope that's your only problem.
Good luck!

I agree. It's probably low on fluid. Your seals could also be leaking. You see any fluid in bilge?

Thanks for the replys. Fluid in the bilge = a small amount, but not much. I checked the level hot on the water, and it was low. Ended up adding 1/2 quart to get it full. No issues the rest of the trip. I will keep an eye on the bilge and level and hopefully make it through the season, and have seals cheked out this winter.
