New to the forum and just recently purchased a 93 Maristar 225 with a 454 chevy. I spent the weekend doing some maintenance to the boat before I bring her out this weekend. I wanted to change the oil in the boat, but I did not find any drain tube to put down the boats drain plug. I felt around under the engine and all i could feel on the oil pan was just the oil drain plug. Did this model not come with one or perhaps it was removed? I have a vacuum oil extractor, is my best bet just to extract the oil out of the dipstick tube?

Thanks

Yes you can suck it out that way. skidim.com sell a drain hose kit. http://www.skidim.com/products.asp?dept=1054

Thanks, I figured that would be the easiest way.

I'd get the oil drain hose kit. My 240SC with the HO 454 has one. Too easy to change the oil that way. PITA to instal I bet.

Later,

Matt

It seems like it would be a major pain to install while the engine is in. With small arms and hands maybe easier, but I think for now Ill stick with the extractor pump
