View Full Version : Air Inlets Discolored

I have a 99 SportStar. It has some plastic covers that partially cover the air inlets in front of the windshield that flow into the bilge. I believe the Prostars of this era had the same ones. Sorry I don't have a picture. They were white but have yellowed over the years. Anyone know how to get them looking white again?

You could paint them with something like krylon fusion. I just got 2new ones at the dealer. Were ~$12 each.

I fell kind of dumb. I never thought of checking with my dealer. I just assumed that it would not be something that they would stock or be able to order. Thanks.

Mastercraft by design are these what your looking for?

Mine yellowed as well, so I panted them Black with Krylon Fusion many years ago and they still look new. The main stripe on my 2001 XStar is black, and the top deck is white, so the black vents on the white top looks really good to me.

Mine are yellowing too on my 02 X-star. Thought about RIT dye Navy Blue to match hull.

I soaked mine in clorox for a couple of days and they turned white again.

I just got a pair of the white plastic ones delivered yesterday to go on my 205. Perfect fit and they were $14.99 each. I can get the website if you need it.

I got some last year for my 99 x-star and they were like 7$ each. I wish I could remember the site =/ I just figured I'd let you know replacements are out there for cheap!

I used "Goof off" on mine and turned white right away. They are very cheap to replace as well!
