.... did nauticalcreations win this bid?

Although I often consider myself dummer in dirt....
I don't understand this bidding process:confused:

also, it's on a 24 hour clock

yes, but he did not bid last...

so, assumably whoever set their maximum bid to $120.00 first would win the bid?

*edit
I see....
so wes set his max bid to $120.00....it went from $99.00 up to $120.00, and nautical's bid may have been more than $120.00, but wes's bidding stopped

He bid sooner..
it says something there about actual bids, not auto bids
what does the item number say is the final winning amount$ 120?

Ebay is so intriguing to me. Why does anyone bid prior to the last minute of the auction? Seems to me that rational thought would say to wait, but nobody waits

Looks like Nauticalcreations bid $120 at 6:46.

Then Westvig bid the same amount at 10:22:16.

Then the auction ended at 10:22:43....... 27 seconds later! Had Westvig bid $120.01, then it would have been a winning bid or forced someone else to bid higher.

So two lessons, don't bid till the last second. And don't bid in round numbers.

so, who makes a prop with an image of Texas stamped into it?

this guy's description and answers were what steered me away from it

Nauticalcreations maximum bid was higher than $120. when westvig bid 120, that was where the bid was pushed to and stopped.

Not too hard to figure out. Seller sets up an alias or two for himself and bids on his goods to drive the price up.

Seems like we have seen some aliases in used around this board too. Not too hard to do when there is no verification of identity.

I think they both would have had to have set a max bid of $120 and the earlier bid won. If Nautical.. had a max higher than $120 the bid would have advanced by the minimum bid increment over the Westvig bid.
