I wan to get my 2000 205V back to shine! Yes, young kids and not a lot of time the last 2 years to keep her pretty! Excuses I know. I want to take the back MASTERCRAFT WORLD RECORD TOW BOATS off. How? How do i polish it out to add new sticker? Also, I want to buff out all the dull on the entire boat and wax to get her all shiny like all the boats on the SHINE thread! Let me know your secrets and brand polish and wax.

Many topics on this. You will get lots of good response. My boat was oxidized very bad...actually my wife told me that if I bought the boat she was going to make me repaint it. After about 8 hours of hard labor it looked like brand new and she was in disbeleif. I used 3M machine polish...basically used a Dewalt Power Buffer to "wet sand" with the polish....I followed up with Mequires Cleaning wax....then Mequires Ultimate Wax....it was hard and tough and I was worn out. I've done it twice so far. I'm not sure that my way was best, many on this board will give you awesome advice. The first pic below was May, 2011...the other two pics were taken yesterday after I did it again (but didn't take as long the second time)

I also use a 3m product, 3m Imperial hand glaze and a orbital buffer..love the stuff
Buffs off scratches and puts the ol shine on!

Do you cover (tape) your decals, or go over them with the compound and polish?

I went over them with the compound carefully...not bearing down and definitely not dry.

Looks great...exactly what model of 3M machine polish did you use and what kind of pads were attached to your machine during the three step process?
