Is anyone familiar with this.

I am getting my new cell phone today.

Its the Nokia 6255i.

I have a dell computer and want to use bluetooth to get ringtones off of my iTunes. Is this possible to do?

Yes, it's possible, but I'm fuzzy on the details.

the 6255i supports MP3 files and will store up to 7 mb worth of files. I don't know if it will play full-scale MP3 files as ringtones, but you can download a ringtone editor like Ringtone Editor 1.0 (http://www.soft32.com/download_80873.html) then you should be able to upload the optimized file to the phone via bluetooth from your computer using one of the adapters such as listed here (http://www.buy.com/cat/Bluetooth_USB_Adapter_Bluetooth_Hands-Free_Wireless/16626.html) unless your computer already is bluetooth capable.

By the way, you may need to download (free) Nokia PC Suite (http://www.nokiausa.com/support/pcsuite/main.html) latest version.

Bluetooth is also used for wireless head sets. Up to 30 ft from my phone I can talk. Great for dodging cars on my drive home from work. Both hands on the wheel:O

I am headed to staples to buy a USB adaptor. I dont think i need that Ringtone Editor because i have the Nokia program that has all the editing on it.
