Hello, been wondering around this great site enjoying all the good information. I finally pulled the trigger and bought my first MC, 1994 Prostar 205.:D I'm very excited. took it out last weekend had had a great time. The one thing I need to get use of is keeping me hands on the steering wheel and the throttle, no more waving to people. LOL. The boat I moved up from was 1987 16.5 Sea Ray Seville open bow runabout. What an improvement. looking forward to a good summer.:D

That could be a vintage ad right there. American Flag, coolers, tool chest, bucket of suds, and an MC in the driveway!!!

On your throttle, get a u-clamp and clamp it to your throttle cable to give it a little friction. Mine did the exact same thing and was very frustrating. Every time I took my hand off the throttle, the boat slowed down.

Just tighten it enough to keep your throttle handle from working it's way back on it's own.

Simple fix.

Oh, sweet ride! I have the exact boat, 94 205, same color too! I have the LT1 in it. What about you??

You will need to figure out the waving issues - if you don't wave to other Mastercrafts then we will take your club card away!

Thanks for the comments.:D
The engine is the Indamar 350 EFI. (throttle body injected). She runs really nice. My kids had a great time skiing with her. I'm going to have some question when it comes to winterizing. I do have an issue I need to solve, the center windshield has some interference when I go to close it.

Then I really have the twin. I have the same engine. 350 Indmar, 275 HP!

When you say the windshield interferes do you mean its a tight fit between the two side windows? If so, mine is actually the opposite where I have a little too much play.

Double D, I need pictures of the twin.

Its a tight fit, I need to spread the windshield a bit to get the center section to close.

Can you walk me through winterizing the boat sometime? I'm all ready stressed that I'm going to do it incorrectly. Do I add the water to the thermostat and fill the system, OR do I suck the anti freeze up through the raw water pick up. I have plenty of time to worry about it!!

OK, I fibbed a bit... I added a tower in 2003.

We can discuss winterizing in detail later (not that time of year) but we run the boat hot so the thermostat opens up, then empty out the water from the jackets and engine block, then run in several gallons of anti-freeze until it comes out the back, and your all set. You can fog your cylinders, sta-bil your gas, tape your exhaust shut, etc., but I may not be the best guy to ask since I keep mine in a heated garage and pretty must just empty out the water and sta-bil the gas. Having a shower or ballast will add to the complexity...

Is your friend's a 99? I see he switched out his winged rudder. Is he on Team Talk? I'm interested in a performance review. I've considered switching rudders but I'm afraid I will lose control and run aground (ha ha), I mean I'm not sure it will be worth the $500.

Another Sister boat here! I have had mine for a year and a half now. I love it. BTW, my windshield started to fit tightly too, then I discovered that the frame on the port side hinge was splitting (as seen in this crapy picture) Check to see if you have the same issue. I'm not sure how it happened, but now I have to get a new part made for me. I'll take care of it after the season is over.

BTW, have you gotten use of keeping your hand on the steering wheel and throttle at all times?
