Anyone know where I might find a new O-ring for my Perko gas cap? Snapped when I went to fill up last night.

I just emailed Perko customer service and they are mailing me a replacement free of charge. So nice how some companies have such great customer service. Especially little penny cost items like this.

email: sales@perko.com

I went on perko's website and found the pn# 054000099B listed under the cap assembly replacement parts.

If the o-ring is otherwise in good shape, you can glue it back together with cyanoacrylate (super glue)

If the o-ring material is brittle etc, buy some o-ring stock from a good hardware store, cut to length and glue together with cyanoacrylate.

Edit- Wrote this before I saw your reply above, your solution is better!

most parts stores have a whole bin of o-rings. Take your cap, or the old ring and buy one that fits.

Happened to me as well. Local ACE Hardware had the exact replacement I needed. Just a couple bucks and you get it ASAP instead of waiting a few days for Perko to ship one for free.

It may be a good idea to wipe some vaseline on The o-ring to lubricate it.

Gasoline dries the rubber out real bad. I would not cake it on but maybe a thin once or twice a year prolly would not hurt.
