Well, yesterday I decided it was time for a little footing run. It's been several years since I've footed. Despite only having a 64" O'brien and the fact that I'm 49 yrs old, 6'2" and 210(okay 215):o, I managed to get up and step off.

Even better, one of my twins decided he wanted to try footing. He used a knee-board but was successful on his first attempt and then took another, much longer run.:D:D

That's awesome! How old are the kids. Can't wait for mine to follow in my footsteps. We will see, cool if they don't but would be cool if they do.

Cool. I think last year was the first year in several that I didn't take a barefoot run! My 8 year old daughter wants to try. I need to get a boom for my current boat and have her try.

Nice! Glad to hear you're back on your feet again! :D

A boom is a great teaching tool, worth the investment for your S & S.

I hope to get my 9 year old footin' someday.

The twins are 16. I bought a used boom last year that was advertised as being for a V-drive but it wasn't, so he had to long line it.

JD - I'm now in a 02' x-star, we sold the S&S a few years ago. I need to get my screen name changed...

I am very impressed!!!

It took me the better half of a morning (I have no idea how many attempts) to get up long line my first time.

My first time out this year ended with a hole in my eardrum!

What did you say LAKE? Cant hear you...

Bummer, I had a buddy blow an ear drum in a tumble turn, very painful. Knock on wood my only issue was brused ribs.

First timer long line...he is hooked now! Cant wait for my twins to try it...

My first time out this year ended with a hole in my eardrum!

Ouch, blew my eardrum wakeboarding a couple of years ago. Went to the doc and he couldn't see anything. He asked me why I thought it was ruptured; I simply asked "is it supposed to whistle when I try to pop it?" :D He agreed that it was blown then.
