we went out on Fowl River, Mobile AL, with no tube for the kids. Loaded up 7 in the S&S with two knee boards, skis and a wake board. My 11 year old used my wake board and stayed up her third try after swallowing the whole river previously. My wife got up on skis and did very well. My youngest (5) knee boarded with me and told me too leave the tube at the dock. Hell ya no tube

I'm 29 and take the tube. I claim its for the kids but I've found a strong correlation to the tube being slung out and women losing half a bathing suit due to the force. As long as you enjoy it and do it in the right place tubes are A-OK.

That's great a no tube weekend is a goal of mine this summer. We were towing it fri-sun.

I was able to break the tube habit this weekend with the purchase of two entry-level wake boards. I pulled the kids boarding for three days:) They can slalom but really enjoyed the boards. I told them I'd rather pull a wakeboard for 8 hours than a tube for 15 minutes. Anytime they asked to be pulled on the board, I was the first one in the boat!

Just read this thread to my 8 year old wakeboarder to show him I'm not the only one who hates tubes

I like your thinking.
