I recently noticed my swim platform isn't tightly attached to transom of my '05 XStar. The "water" side of platform has a couple inches of vertical movement even though there's not significant play in the brackets attaching to hull. When boat is stopped in the water and another boats wake reaches platform it actually is making a "whomping" sound that I haven't heard before. Last weekend, I was sitting on the engine compartment with my feet on platform and could feel the "water" side of platform move upward from water pressure when boat began to move while throttling up.

Boat is new to me, so wasn't sure if I just had not noticed this previously or if platform is actually getting loose and needs to be tightened.

My teak platform moves a little.. mine is due to the play in the removable brackets. Doyou have removable brackets on your boat?

I am assuming these are the brackets for removing platform???

All bolts and screws were tight when I checked them last night. I probably need to pull boat out of water onto trailer so I can better access the transom area.
