I see there are a lot of options for teaching kids to ski. I am looking for some feedback on what is best for teaching a 4 year old. He is very good at downhill skiing, so this should be natural for him. Considering the EZ Skier or the O'Brien model...

If he can downhill just start with regular combos.

I would also grab a pair of skis that tie together and give it a go

Tough call as I was in your situation a few years ago. I have 2 boys but I also planned on teachiing 6 of my nephews under the age of 7 at the time too. What I did was I bought the U board and the inflatable seat w/mini pontoons in each side and a set of small skis that have the brace between them. The results were good with all. Every kid is different. Some, if you dunk them too early they may quit for the season so stick them on the U board until they feel comfortable. Another thing that works good for the ones that think they are ready, have them knee boar first to understand the pull. Good luck and have fun.
