Hello knowledge! My 89 tristar steering wheel is pretty much due to get changed. (all rusted inside and feels like sand is in it when I turn!) What are the caracteristics I need to see before purchasing a wheel? are they universal? can I only replace them with mastercraft wheels?

thanks!

Grant marine steering wheels get the job done nicely.

that hardest thing for me when I replaced my wheel was finding the splined adapter for the wheel. grant has them on their website as well as many other places, but they all told me 6-8 weeks for shipment. i decided to go with jegs motorsports because they were cheapest on the wheel and adapter, or close enough that I didn't care. they shipped the wheel out fast, about 2-3 days, and actually had the adapter in about a week even though was originally told aprox 4 weeks from them.

If you have a splined shaft....you may want to jump on finding the adapter first.

Amazon is also a great resource to find parts too as long as you know what you are looking for.
