I might have a deal on a 6000lb Nyman water lift for the cottage. I've been wanting a basic cantilever one but came across a deal for this one.

I have 2 questions:
I have a Prostar 190 which weighs about 2700lb, I know a 6000lb is overkill but thats what the deal is on, Will my boat fit the bunks?
Are these units reliable?

The person selling me it says it weighs about 1000lb for the whole kit, is that about right?

Thanks people!

I have a 5,000 lb Basta. Love it! It should fit, but you should take some measurements or call Basta.

I have a Nyman 4000# water operated lift. I have had it for 15 years without a problem. 1997 PS 205 fits great.

Thanks for the reply's guy's.
So, I just got back from Vt., bought the lift and brought it back home.
The lift is in incredible shape, no rust (everything is galvanised).
I have every part for it including the submersible 10A pump which works on AC.
I'll be using a small portable generator to operate it for this summer but will be converting to 12VDC.

Can't wait to try it out!

This is the video of my lift taken by the previous owner:
It's slow to operate in the video because it's being fed water through the garden hose.
